Faisal Islamic Bank (Sudan) Adopts the DiliTrust Exec Board Portal

Faisal Islamic Bank (Sudan) is the oldest Islamic bank in the world. In 1977, the bank established its first operations in Khartoum, the capital of Sudan. Today, it is one of the largest banks in Sudan, and lists more than 40 branches, 50 sub-branches, 190 ATMs and 23 correspondent banks as well as 4 subsidary companies within its group.

DiliTrust Exec will replace the existing board portal software previously used by the bank. In order to remain compliant with their data security requirements, Faisal Islamic Bank (Sudan) have selected the digital board solution DiliTrust Exec.

Boasting an easy-to-use interface that meets stringent security standards, the software provides an innovative response to the current challenges faced by company board secretaries. Influential factors in the selection of DiliTrust Exec over its competitors were its internationally certified security hosting (ISO 27001) in the United Arab Emirates and its dedicated Middle East multilingual support team. The fact that DiliTrust stores its data servers in France and Middle East was also a huge draw for the Faisal Islamic Bank (Sudan) in choosing DiliTrust.

The solution DiliTrust Exec will be used by the group’s Board of Directors, and its five bodies: the Audit and Regulations Committee, Risk Committee, Restructure Committee, Governance and Compliance Committee, and IT Committee. Thanks to the security standards guaranteed by DiliTrust Exec, particularly its ISO 27001 certification, all content on the portal is secure and encrypted in a data center based in the United Arab Emirates. DiliTrust Exec also guarantees permanent control for all users. It works by identifying, analysing and covering the risks in the information system and is based on the principle of continual improvement. It enables the creation of an environment based on mutual trust between service provider and client.
